Gallery Manager
- Maintaining ongoing promotion and advertising of the gallery.
- Assessment and selection of artwork, including solo and group exhibitions.
- Overseeing the type of artwork sold, and handling transactions.
- Planning, organising, presenting and marketing exhibitions, shows, and workshops, including responsibility for public relations.
- Experience handling delicate and expensive artworks.
- Working closely with individual artists, developing relationships with new artists, and extending relationships with established artists known to the gallery.
- Curating exhibitions in cooperation with artists and technicians.
- Arranging transportation of work to and from the gallery, both nationally and internationally.
- Organising equipment hire and ensuring correct installation of artwork.
- General administration, budgeting, finance and accounts.
Artist in Residence

- Preparing classrooms for art lessons, including ordering and maintaining any materials used.
- Carrying out workshops for students to accompany their curriculum studies.
- Assisting in art classes at both KS3 and KS4, encouraging extra curricular art studies for the
students and facilitating their learning.
- Providing individual support for students in preparation for examination.
- Creating newsletters and taking control of the school’s social media to inform parents and the
wider community of progression within the art department.
- Continuing my own artistic practice at my on-site studio, and exhibiting my own work in the
on-site gallery.
