Marketing Communications Manager
Full Time
I manage the external (and some internal) marketing and communications of the school, and its partner MAT school. I manage the website and social media channels; create new branding for subsidiaries within the school such as our Burnham Teaching Partnership, and Alumni Association; I ensure there is press coverage for the school as well as arranging for paid advertising when appropriate.
Alongside this role I also oversee the work experience co-ordination within the school which is compulsory for year 11 students, as well as finding appropriate placements for our sixth form students during the school holidays.
Senior Reporter

I was senior reporter for Baylis Media, working on a variety of news pieces from political and social issues, lifestyle features and the fashion column.
During my time there I was able to interview Marco Pierre White, Prince Andrew, Mary Portas and Steve Backshall to name a few.
I worked in both print and online editions for the newspaper titles owned by Baylis Media as well as the Life Etc magazine.
While here I also passed my NQJ Level 5 Senior Reporter exams.

Alongside my degree I also earned my Gold Standard Diploma from the NCTJ.
I undertook work experience and intern placements during my holidays from university, while also writing for the university newspaper during term time.
I was also a member of the university netball team which took part in regular matches and competitions; as well as being a part of a charity team which climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in 2013 to fundraise for Childreach International.
