Creative Director Microsoft Phones Design Communication
Managing a small team of designers, my role is ‘voice of design’. I communicate the design approach and latest innovation for our future portfolio of products and services to key people within the organisation (such as Product Marketing, Sales and Brand) as well as to a wider, external audience. Key skills involve strong content development and messaging skills and translating these in engaging and innovative ways, in order to inform, inspire and excite. Drawing on my in-depth knowledge of materials and services, I give hands-on creative direction proposing future concepts for the Microsoft portfolio and then realising, creating and prototyping these concepts as products.
Leading a small team of designers working on innovative, digital, below-the-line advertising campaigns for major brands to either build brand awareness or drive sales through specific promotions, tailoring the brands messaging in a more personal manner to the audiences. My team was also involved in pitching for new business, for which we had 100% success rate. In 2003, we won the MCCA Best Integrated Campaign Award for Ariel Championship Whites.
