Working as part of the creative team, I am solely responsible for the planning and implementation of all blog content, website copy, and landing pages. I also work alongside PR to manage an influencer budget of up to £10,000 per month. Key Achievements: * Used keyword research to create SEO focused blog posts for students which ranked number one on Google continuously throughout August & September, generating a revenue of over £50,000 with a conversion rate of 6%. * Implemented strategies to ensure better visibility on site for blog content, using product takeover slots to increase users and improve customer journey – Which successfully increased overall blog revenue MoM by 24% * Managed the Love Island content campaign, creating blog posts and interactive quizzes which continue to be significant revenue drivers months after the campaign has finished due to their high Google rankings. Overall the Love Island content generated over 80,000 sessions, 16% of which were from new users. * Awarded the Drapers Digital Award for Best Use of Content in April 2018. As the only marketing employee at the company, I was solely responsible for planning, developing and implementing all marketing communication campaigns – Through eShots, organic and paid social media, print and trade events. I created all copy for marketing collateral and designed many of the online visuals using Photoshop CS6 and other Adobe packages. I also maintained and updated the website daily using WordPress.
Reporting to the Head of Digital and MD, I assisted on a number of key client accounts, including international restaurant chains and leading UK B2B brands, delivering their ongoing social media campaigns. I also created written content and social campaign planners for fashion, leisure, and financial sector businesses, through blogs and website copy.
I worked at IBM for my placement year from university. My role involved liaising with the sales team and management, to support meetings and ensure their KPIs were met. I organised several large customer events throughout the year, and was responsible for devising and implementing marketing campaigns for these events to drive customer attendance, participation and engagement (including designing promotional materials). I managed a number of internal blogs and the external Storify page, in addition to running several social media accounts. Key Achievements: * Organised and ran an external customer event with 300 attendees, generating 5 potential business sales leads, with a value of £100, 000. * Managed the Twitter page for IBM North, increasing followers by over 300%. * Won a placement student award for the blog and video work I completed for IBM Connecting Women
Modules included: Digital Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, International Business, E- Business Studying a broad range of business topics in my first two years enabled me to improve my communication skills, creativity and analytical ability. Following my placement at IBM, I specialised in marketing in my final year by choosing relevant marketing modules. I now feel confident evaluating market research information, devising business and marketing plans and presenting my ideas creatively to an audience. Awards Achieved: I was awarded the William James Kelbrick scholarship for showing an outstanding commitment to my personal and professional development. The money I was awarded went towards funding volunteer placements for a number of women’s charities in India.
