Now seeking work opportunities in Textile Design, specialising in embroidery and print for a fashion application, I enjoy creating fresh and exciting ideas developed through drawing and CAD.
As an inspired textile designer, I am passionate about pushing my creative flair to generate innovative and professional designs. With skills in hand and digital embroidery as well as digital print, I have a keen eye for future fashion trends. As a highly dedicated, organised and self-motivated designer, I have great confidence in presenting and thrive to gain opportunities in new environments to develop and apply my design skills.
For me, textile design is about designing something original and unexpected, challenging myself to take inspiration to translate into an exciting and surprising design. Manipulation, surface pattern and an experimentation with materials allow me to explore new ideas for combining embroidery and digital print design.
Projects
- Spinexpo : ShanghaiA laser cut and embellished neoprene jacket following the 'Harvest Gold' colour palette for the Spinexpo trade show in Shanghai. Multiple hand drawn shapes were transformed into a digital laser cut design looking at the relationship between positive and negative shapes. Embellished leaves and florals were made from a mixed materials palette including Perspex, digital embroidery, laser cut neoprene shapes, beads and sequins, which created statement shoulder pieces. Shown in Spinexpo Shanghai, in February 2017.

Education
BA (hons.) Textile Design
Nottingham, United Kingdom
Specialising in embroidery I have extended my technical knowledge of specialist embroidery machines including the irish, cornely, tufter, embellisher, multihued and domestic. I also have a keen interest for hand embroidery through manipulation and beading, as well as skills in digital printing and some knowledge of knit and weave.
Being innovative and experimental is important for me, creatively designing for fashion samples and garments.
