About me
An aspiring textiles graduate seeking to further her career within embroidery and embellishment in fashion design. Confident in all aspects of textiles design including digital and hand printing on a variety of fabrics.
  • Haute CAT-ureThis project has been an exploration of animal friendly materials such as faux fur, leather and other synthetics to show how there can be alternative fabrics for use in fashion. The designs are inspired by cats because of my own personal passion, and to raise awareness of big cats that are becoming endangered due to hunting. The main techniques used in this project include: sublimation print, mimake print, devoré, hand embroidery, CAD embroidery and beading.
  • Tactile NatureA range of mixed media fabric pieces that reflect unusual textures found in nature for an Autumn/Winter fashion collection. This project utilises sublimation print, CAD embroidery, hand embroidery and beading.
  • Trésor CachéWhen exploring such a beautifully overwhelming city such as Paris, one may wish to escape from the typical tourist activities and attractions. During a visit to Paris, I explored the lesser known splendours of the city; specifically gardens, markets, fabric stores and quaint backstreets. This was then translated into a collection of high fashion fabrics with transparent qualities, beading and embroidery.     Role in the studio included assisting with embroidery, beading and general maintenance activities like tidying. Some of the tasks involved adding additional embroidery elements on to a gown or veil, beading or drawing artwork for dress designs.
