    Events Assistant
    Coordinating the planning and delivery of the Union's event programme in line with its strategy to engage a large demographic of students and increase profits. Successfully coordinated an extensive programme of freshers events for 7000 new students in 2015 resulting in record profits. Creating and delivering an array of cultural events in line with ethos of the Union. Working effectively alongside elected officers and students to provide support in creating and running financially viable events. Recording and monitoring relevant risk assessments to ensure safe execution of events. Recruiting, training and managing a team of 15 production assistants including overseeing their development and wellbeing, shift coordination and rotas, ensuring their expectations and optimum potential is reached. Creating and sustaining excellent customer engagement and service with external partners and sponsors throughout the role.

    Calculating daily financial takes, ensuring correct and prompt invoicing. Direct management of up to 20 staff at one time, with joint management of 80 staff over all. Creating and sustaining timesheets and rotas for all casual staff. Production and delivery of student events for a large, varied student demographic. Ensuring incidents within the venue are dealt with in an appropriate manner. Upholding licensing laws and health and safety considerations through following protocols and pursuing appropriate safety and risk assessments. Securing the venue and activating the alarm at the end of each shift.
