About me
I am currently Second In Charge of a small Modern Foreign Languages department in a North London comprehensive school. I am primarily responsible for data within the department for KS3 ages, but I also hold responsibility for creating materials used for teaching (including assessment) and for organising cultural activities and planning engaging lessons. I use CI (Comprehensible Input) TPRS strategies to maintain interest in subjects and I rely on engaging and building relationships with all students, staff and senior leaders. I have delivered a workshop on using Brain Breaks in the classroom for the last 2 years to encourage small movement breaks in lessons to promote better concentration in lessons, to great success. I have also been involved with the LGBTQ+ group and helped promote and organise Pride activities during COVID-19.
