Studio Assistant
A 6 month placement at Allegra Hicks showroom as a showroom assistant , within these 6 months I learned a great deal on how to support a design team and assist with the running of the business. Most tasks consisted of liaising with manufacturers as well as taking orders and presenting clients the fabric collections at the studio. I was also in charge of updating social media such as Facebook and Twitter which plays a key point in connecting with potential new clients and advertising the Allegra Hicks brand across a range of different platforms. The role also consisted of admin work which was very important in keeping the showroom organised .
