Ennis is a Korean-Canadian contemporary artist and professional advisor. She studies the flow of energy, examining process of creation and architects systems in both physical and meta forms. Ennis explores levels of human psyche, navigating towards the collective conscious and documents her journey with intervals of art. Her pieces are a vortex of visual media and philosophy, often heavily inspired by principles in branding/marketing. The Art of Living is her greatest body of work; an everyday performance to express love and light. Eccentric, enlightened, Ennis portrays duality of being. Her persona is a balanced reflection/refraction of both own and outside perspectives. She communicates with raw authenticity and sharp wit.
Ennis began art directing from the early age of 16, managing a local lifestyle magazine that had a 20k print circulation. She graduated with a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design moving between Hong Kong, Atlanta and New York for work and personal projects that explored spiritualism and storytelling. “Design taught me how to think–organize my mind. I’ve learned how to build concepts of substance rooted in both logic and emotion.” Her experiences abroad include clients such as CPA Global, Johnson & Johnson, Coke/Pepsi, BareMinerals and Rumble Boxing but she tends to favor niche (often food related) brands like Sir Kensington’s or volunteering for non-profit organizations. She recently served as Director of Creative Strategy for the National Museum of Hip-Hop, a 501c3 organization based in the Bronx, NY.
Ennis’ motivation is to align, balance and connect for self-actualization and help others do so too.
