About me
My name is Erica, I'm 29 years old freelance photographer based in Florence, Italy. I have always been fascinated by photography as a teenager and I started to picture the world with my camera combining my two other passions: travels and music. I've been working as a photographer for 6 years, first in collaboration with local clubs and event organizations across Tuscany then opening a digital and analog prints store. In 2016 I opened a professional photographic studio in Empoli, nearby Florence. The style of my photos reflects my personality: I am an old soul looking sympathetically to the modern world. I love the refined taste of the Victorian era, the pomposity and the eccentricity of the baroque blended with the austerity of the Gothic period. I try to create images with fairy-tale settings, some more mysterious, with a dark mood and with a touch of bizarre and others very minimal and modern, but always a little '"retro". My goal is to help people create special images and fall in love with them. I got good communication skills gained through my experience during a tourist entertainment internship and excellent customer care and problem solving skills gained through my experience of many years in the hotel management area. In the past year I have started a web marketing activity to promote my company worldwide through social networks. I'm able to work in team and with different cultures. I'm able to work under pressure and easy to apply to new tasks and challenges. I got good team leading skills gained during the experience at La Canonica di Cortine tourism resort where I have managed the booking and client accounting departments. Good multi-tasking skills gained through my active presence in associations "Flotta Nemesi" and "Japan Addiction" in order to create different kind of events for the associates and customers. Job related skills: Wide ranging knowledge of photography practice and technique. Experienced in operating major analog photography formats, digital SLRs and high resolution backs. Proficient in flash, tungsten, fluorescent and natural lighting. Proficient in photography workflow conception, products managemen, studio set up and lighting. Wide ranging experience in photographic production, edition and post production with editing programs such as Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop CC.
Projects
  • Baba Yaga
Baba YagaIn collaboration with Dunia, designer of Elaine's Couture the project of Baba Yaga was born as a personal tribute to the most iconic works of Eiko Ishioka, entrusted to one of the most mysterious characters of Slavic legends. We separated ourselves from traditional description of Baba Yaga and we imagined her as beautiful as a nymph and as mysterious as an odalisque, charming and dangerous at the same time. The materials itself that Dunia has chosen for this project symbolize this duality: si
