    Optical Assistant
    The store I am working at in London is on a far bigger scale than the one I was working at in New Zealand. This has helped increase my knowledge of customer service and sales techniques. As it’s a big sales team it has also helped me become more of a team player, we all work well together. Quite often I am top sales person of the week. I was an Optical Assistant at Specsavers, which included assisting customers with selecting appropriate frames and helping them to understand all of the deals and offers Specsavers had on offer at the time. My role also involved explaining different lens options and added extras they could include with their glasses. I carried out other tasks on a day-to-day basis, such as repairing glasses, booking appointments, answering customer queries, answering the phone and dealing with payments. Achievements: Working at Specsavers has given me excellent customer service skills and greater confidence in using these skills. I was trained throughout my time working at Specsavers, completing a series of courses that taught me about the company and optometry in general, which then helped me give customers the best experience in store.
