About me
I have a very beautiful Italian friend who used to stand out for her long blonde dreadlocks, which she would twist up into a bun. She surprised us all one day when she suddenly chopped them all off. When asked why she acted so impulsively she said, 'il cambiamento é vita', 'change is life'. That sentence has stuck with me ever since. I think this is why I am happiest when learning and trying new things; it makes me feel alive. I enjoy working with other people for the same reason; I learn from them, and I change for the better. Last year a friend and I won a Creative Conscience award and the certificate read, "'Be the change that you wish to see in the world' - Mahatma Gandhi". I really do believe that change can be powered by design, and I hope that my creativity will one day make a positive difference to other people's lives.

  • We are like Mayflies
We are like MayfliesBrief To design a publication that 'stares death in the face' and obliterates contemporary Western society's intellectual and emotional 'divorcement' from death. Response The final outcome is a book that can only be read once, before its content disappears forever. The text has been exposed onto darkroom paper, and not fixed with any chemicals. Once the book has been taken out of its sleeve and box, the text starts to disappear. Inspired by atheist writers of note, such as Emily Dickinson, who
  • AUB Library Globe
AUB Library GlobeBrief To design a portrait of the university campus by recreating the data systems of your surroundings within a set of synthesised visual systems. Response The AUB Library Globe is a 3D infographic representing all books taken into and out of the library on the 6th of October at the Arts University of Bournemouth. The globe is made up of 4 semicircular books and each page represents a minute of the day: the blank pages are the minutes in which no books were taken out and the coloured pages are
  • Rekò
RekòBrief Create a brand and advertise an IFO, an identified flying object. Response Rekò means highlight in Haitian Creole. Whether Rekò is highlighting a cyclist to make him or her more visible on the road, or the disc is being thrown to glorious heights in a park, Rekò is sureto be the highlight of the day. The flying disc will provide hours of healthy, active entertainment and will even make sure you get home safely afterwards.
  • Zoo of Rebuses
Zoo of Rebuses The Zoo of Rebuses is a personal project. I started the collection of screen prints with the elephant rebus; I liked the idea of describing a huge mammal with such a delicate insect.
  • It's raining typography
It's raining typographyThis collection of concrete pots reveals hidden messages when wet by the rain. The pots were designed to promote urban agriculture and to inspire people to grow herbs and vegetables outdoors, taking advantage of the UK's rainy weather. The superhydrophobic spray is invisible when dry which means that the text can be seen only during miserable weather. This way, we catch our audience whilst they are experiencing the downpour, encouraging them to make a positive out of what some might see as a negative. This project was done in collaboration with my friend and former classmate, James Marshall. Photography by Sam Day.
  • Playful Portraits
Playful PortraitsBrief With clients such as Chanel, Armani, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, Louis Vuitton and Hugo Boss, Puntosetais one of Italy’s leading textile suppliers. After completing a summer internshipas a textile designer, I was asked to finda creative way to depict the company'sstaff on their new website.I travelled to Italy to photograph the Puntoseta group and then printed the portraits, using their printer, onto oneof their silks. Response The outcome is a collection of playful portraits that convey the friendlyatmosphere of the company whilstshowcasing one of Puntoseta's many textiles and facilities. • Concrete Jungle
Concrete JungleThis collection of urban plant pots reveals hidden messages when wet by the rain. The Pots promote urban agriculture by encouraging people to take advantage of English weather. We want to catch our audience whilst they are experiencing the downpour, encouraging them to make a positive out of what some people might consider a negative. • The Library Book
The Library BookIn this collaborative project, we wanted to create a portrait of the movement of books around an area in one day. Rather than create a print or digitally based outcome, we went analogue. We created four books that when fanned, created a clock. Each page is a minute in the day, each coloured page is a book taken in or out and by what degree course; A book of books. The book was designed as a permanent installation in the Arts University Bournemouth library.
