It seemed obvious to them after a while. That's because they were able to connect experiences they've had and synthesise new things.’ Steve Jobs taught me a lot about creativity here. He beautifully expressed the way I see the world and why I can see nothing else for myself but working in the media industry. I am a creative, confident, forward thinker who recognises the value of working within a team. I spent my formative years acquiring many skills, including those that enabled me to start my own business at 13. If I don’t know how to do something, I very quickly make it my mission to learn.

My role at OMD has given me invaluable experience in learning the workings of an agency and a wider view at media planning. Not only have I continued to develop my skills in digital media, I have also continued to develop personal skills such as management of time and organisation. I have managed client campaigns from briefing right through to final PCA’s and yearly financial queries. Working at such a well respected, near full service agency, has allowed me to explore other avenues of media such as strategy - it is here that I have come to realise my passion lies.

A role on the commercial team at Xaxis enabled me to become at home with systems like DFA, AppNexus, Metis, etc. Despite being an apprentice I was required to work at an exec level quickly escalating to senior exec roles such as training new members of the team. Working to this level meant I was involved with all aspects of campaign management from set up, reporting and PCA’s.
