Fabio Catapano is an Italian product designer and visual artist. As an artist, he's mostly working with digital media. He creates still, moving and interactive art by using creative coding, CGI, 3D, graphics and real-time video technology.
Experimentation is at the core of my practices; my work focuses on push the boundaries of visual communication exploring new and unexpected outcomes.

- Generative music video for "I Don’t Wanna Go" by Model 86A generative and interactive music video for “I don’t wanna go” by Model 86. Video Size 2560 x 1440 Print Size A3 Interactive Video http://modeleightysix.com/i-dont-wanna-go Size variable "The main inspiration for the video was the graphic scores of John Cage and Stackhausen. We wanted to create something that used the audio reactive idea but in a very graphic, simple and engaging way staying away from the usual audio reactive tropes. - Illustrated Musical Encyclopedia, a generative visual identity.Inspired by Ryuichi Sakamoto's Illustrated Musical Encyclopedia I created a fluid visual identity for a conceptual music event. The graphical pattern, created with Processing, visualises an unpredictable structure like Sakamoto's music.
- Generative Poster for "Italian Design" exhibition at the Taiwan Design MuseumThis year AIAP (The Italian Association of Visual Communication Design) selected one of my work for the collective exhibition "Italian Design" at the Design Museum in Taiwan. A software coded in P5js is generating a random movement of the letters contributing to the final result.
- Johnnie Walker Kinetic IdentityAnomaly London commissioned me to explore the new Johnnie Walker's identity and create a motion language for the brand. This early-stage conceptual work aimed to research and to develop some of the main motion pillars for future explorations. "Keep walking" is Johnnie Walker's direction and the short, rhythmical, loopable sequences want to communicate a sense of constant movement.
