My name is Fabio do Prado and I am graduate of BA Graphic Design at Central Saint Martins College in London.
Art and Design has always played an important role in my life and through graphic design, I am finding that I can combine the two to communicate creatively with my surrounding environment. At a young age I enjoyed painting cartoons at a large scale on my bedroom walls, creating a strong impact on people coming into my room. This love of scale, color and impact continues in my life today. I now gain pleasure from taking an idea, expressing it through various mediums and then trying to communicate this idea with people to allow them to see it in a
number of ways. I am constantly looking for new ways to do this.

- SAO PAULO CITY BRANDING IDENTITYSAO PAULO CITY BRANDING IDENTITY This project is for the purpose of creating a visual identity for the city of Sao Paulo, and in doing so to explore the possibilities offered by socio-cultural elements for visual identity design and place branding. CONCEPT: To express the idea of how important Sao Paulo is for one country, I started to visualize Sao Paulo as a beating heart that keeps the country alive, and to represent it with the pulse waves on an electrocardiogram. The image is intended to
- Dot Art Poster DesignDOT ART POSTER DESIGN 2014 (Digital Art) This project was created using dots to play with people perception. - Mandela Poster DesignNELSON MANDELA'S POSTER DESIGN COMPETITION 2013 ICOGRADA IDA / ico-D (INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF DESIGN) AWARDED WINNER This project was a competition to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s 95th birthday and his life’s contribution to humanity by creating a poster. The projects aim was to collect 95 exceptional posters from around the world and collate them into an online publication and traveling exhibition. This poster was one of the winning designs that was selected to be part of an official collection of 95 posters that will be donated to the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital Trust and aid in the establishment of a dedicated children’s hospital in Johannesburg. CONCEPT : My idea was to represent the map of Africa lined in paint splatters with Mandela’s face coming from the right, looking to the future. The left side of the image is black and white representing apartheid past. This black and white, then turns into colours representing life, full of color. Following the competition, this poster was chosen to be published in TRANSITION MAGAZINE, a publication of the W.E.B. Du Bois Institute at HARVARD UNIVERSITY. Transition is a unique forum for fresh perspectives on global issues, literature and art, cultures and people, with an emphasis on Africa and the Diaspora. The collection will eventually be produced into a book to be published. The books will be sold as an additional means to raise funds for the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital Trust. The 95 posters have so far been exhibited in the below countries: GREECE, SLOVENIA, AUSTRALIA, RUSSIA, AUSTRIA, SOUTH AFRICA, CANADA and SPAIN. The exhibition has also featured on CNN, BBC, Sky News, CNS news channels and prominent newspapers, radio stations and many other international news websites around the world such as Washington Post and the Boston Herald.
- HUGO BOSS (VISUAL DISPLAY CAMPAIGN) 2015C O N C E P T Thinking about Christmas, the first thing that comes into my mind is that there is a special feeling or “spirit” associated with the Christmas season. This ethereal spirit reflects many aspects, including our celebrations, joyful gatherings, giving and receiving, and simply enjoying the magic of the season. And when the season comes to an end, the spirit moves on leaving us with happy memories. When I visual the spirit of Christmas coming and going, I see it firstly as a wind which moves from place to place around the world, bringing anticipation, excitement and joy. I also associate the spirit with light, which conveys happiness and new life. In translating my concept of the spirit of Christmas into a physical form, I have attempted to convey these essential elements of movement and light. At the same time, I have sought to do this in a manner which reflects the elements of the new Boss Visual Merchandising DNA.
