Supporting the Advisory team across multiple international development projects. Using expertise to provide PM and Energy Access consultancy to: • Deliver a $3.5m Sida funded 'Scaling up Off-Grid Energy in Rwanda' (SOGER) project. Faisal provides PM services to accelerate the construction of 30 pico hydro (5-50kW) and 7 larger (50-3MW) projects within 3 years • Coordinate and deliver Market Assessment activities e.g. stakeholder mapping, supporting camp workshops, required as part of the Renewable Energy 4 Refugees (RE4R) project, which informed which interventions to implement. Also involved in the development process of the final interventions and defining scope for the implementation phase • Act as key consultant to deliver a Smart Communities Coalition (SCC) Mini-Grid Assessment. The assessment looked to assess opportunities to build mini-grids in Turkana, Kenya. This involved a desktop literature review phase, in-country field assessment and report writing period to provide recommendations for donor selection

Swedish company Hexicon AB looked to develop the world’s first multi-turbine offshore wind floating platform concept. Faisal was seconded into Hexicon AB to work on the procurement process for both Electrical and O&M packages. This involved understanding technical requirements, liaising with EU suppliers, generating tenders, dealing with grid connections, travelling to China for manufacture inspections and negotiations, negotiating commercial contracts plus accurately populating the CAPEX/OPEX model; as a result, preferred suppliers for both packages were selected.
