About me

I'm a multidisciplinary creative, specialising in illustration, hand lettering and design. My clients vary from agencies and corporates to individuals and small businesses locally and internationally. Recent highlights include local brand collaborations for workshops, window and wall murals and live hand lettering and illustration at promotional events. I have a handcrafted approach to my work and relish the human “imperfections” that appear in things made by hand. I've been running my own creative studio since 2012.

• Custom Hand LetteringA mixed collection of hand lettering examples in various mediums including digital, watercolour and ink.
• Branding for a Pilates StudioLogo design and branded collateral and marketing materials for Agility pilates studio, including custom illustration.

  Big Fish Logo and Menu DesignI was hired to rebrand a seafood restaurant focussing on logo and menu design. The colours were to be closely retained from previous branding and decor would remain the same, but a new name, logo and menus were needed. I came up with something clean and simple but with a quirky touch through the use of the illustrated fish character used subtly to add personality to the brand.
• Illustrated Cards for a Latte Art competitionI was asked the create a set of illustrated cards for the Coffee Magazine‘s latte art competition as part of their Creative Coffee Week event. The competition was called the Mysterious Magical Milk Manipulation, and the concept was tarot-like cards that would be used during the competition where baristas would select one card in each category to determine what they had to pour. The categories they had to choose from were the latte base, the coffee machine, the milk option and the latte art desig
• Design Indaba Simulcast Social Media Activation (2019)A self initiated project in collaboration with the simulcast venue to raise awareness for the event and encourage attendance. People were invited to submit photos for me to doodle onto in real-time during the event, which I then sent back to them to share with the relevant hashtag to their Instagram stories or posts, and that was then shared by my account and the venue. • SAFW Mini ZineSelf initiated project inspired by South African Fashion Week street style photos on Instagram. Illustrations created in monotone ink in a zine format at A7 size.
