New Art World is an art advisory company that offers services for established or new collectors – being them individual or corporate clients worldwide – giving advice on all aspects of building and managing a collection. Main tasks: • Prepared proposals for the collectors about the artists; • Wrote newsletters with information on the works sold in fairs and other occasions; • Catalogued and archived the available artworks on the internal system and for future use on ArtBinder.
• Planned the press work, the promotion, and the communication for the exhibitions and events of the gallery; • Realised the exhibitions display (the group shows Remain in Light and In Between), and assisted the curators for the set-up of Big Sky Hunting by Alberto Sinigaglia); • Managed the gallery contacts (journalists, artists, critics, curators); • Created the artists’ materials, portfolios and cv; • Applied and organised the participation of the gallery in art fairs (Unseen Amsterdam, 2014 and 2015; FotoFever Paris, 2014); • Updated contents in the website of the gallery, as well as social media and newsletter; • Organised the art residency LIVEstudio (first edition, February 2015); • Planned other events, such as presentations (YET magazine, February 2015), talks (Generazione Critica #2, October 2014), and book launches; • Prepared the description of projects (Generazione Critica #3) for fundraising; • Did the inventory and the cataloguing of the available artworks.
• Updated and maintained the database of contacts; • Wrote press releases for events and shows; • Entered the events of the gallery into websites such as ArtRabbit and EventBrite, as well as newsletters and social media; • Participated in art fairs (Art14, London, 2014); • Assisted and helped for the set-up of the show Before Lines After Lines by Bongsu Park.
Main assignments: • Daily exchanged emails with journalists and professionals; • Wrote press releases for exhibitions; • Planned the communication into different media, newsletters and social networks; • Assisted the curators for the set-up of the shows Beware of the Holy Whore: Edvard Munch, Lene Berg and the dilemma of Emancipation, the official participation of Norway at the 2013 Venice Biennale, and Unattained Landscape, in cooperation with the Japan Foundation; • Edited the catalogue for the exhibition Beware of the Holy Whore: Edvard Munch, Lene Berg and the dilemma of Emancipation, both the English and Italian versions; • Accompanied journalists and curators during their studio visits.
• Was selected among the interns to work with the registrar for the set up of the Schulhof collection; • Gave tours and talks to the public in the museum; • Organised workshops for children; • Worked in the ticket office, selling tickets, guides, and catalogues; • Invigilated the rooms.
