Drive Productions are a renowned global creative agency who work with major clients like Havas, Saatchi & Saatchi and Ferrari. I worked alongside the Group Marketing Manager to ensure that all of Drive Productions’ marketing assets and communications were properly maintained and managed. Excellent communication and written skills were needed due to the constant demand of drafting press releases and repurposing press materials for all social channels. Further to this I produced in-depth research into the advertising industry and wrote weekly reports to inform Drive of new trends, opportunities and threats within the company’s environment. This role enabled me to gain valuable knowledge of the day-to-day running of the marketing department and acquire essential marketing techniques to develop an overall marketing strategy.
Louche is a renowned club night and music label based in Leeds, London and Berlin, which I promoted on social media. Each month I consistently broke the sales target and created a contact list which contributed around £1000 to each event. This achievement was rewarded with the opportunity to run my own team of promoters, and gain a larger commission from the tickets sold.
At The Stretch I was responsible for liaising and negotiating with clients such as Hewlett Packard and was put in charge of logistical operation for their Brand Ambassadors tour which incorporated 22 events at different venues all over the UK. I created cash flow forecasts and developed thorough contingency plans. As well as honing my research and interpersonal skills, I was able to effectively negotiate with large logistical firms. This proved to be a success as I created a close relationship with the business which sparked a significant drop in the courier prices.
I worked as a crew member involved in the entire set up and break down of large outdoor events such as Glastonbury Festival and Bestival. I gained practical skills and a greater insight into the technical side of live events, such as the best lighting and sound equipment, certain power requirements and important Health and Safety regulations.
I was in charge of managing a nationwide marquee and tent company. My main role was to coordinate the deployment of various marquees and tents to events around the country. I also developed the social media marketing strategy and website which proved to be hugely profitable for the company as it enabled the business to keep in contact with previous clients and target new audiences. When on site I coordinated and managed the erection of the marquees to client specification and deadlines.
