About me

Feya Mattis aka 'bratlanice' is a multi-disciplinary artist and Fashion Marketing undergraduate from Greater Manchester. She calls attention to the interconnections that exist within the world. She constantly explores various disciplines to broaden her own understanding, and uses them to develop her skills as a marketing consultant and cultural curator. She believes creativity has enabled her to build a stronger perception of self, and she wants to share this understanding with others and encourage creatives to make. Her areas of interest are; marketing within the digital age, cultural curation and projects focused on children of the African Diaspora. In 2019, she founded Black in Fashion, as a direct response to the shortage in support for Black Northern creatives. Leading a team of 7, she is establishing a safe and sustainable network for Black creatives starting in the North, where they are free to express themselves without fear of censorship and judgement.

  DEPOP: #BlackSellersIt was an amazing experience to be able to work with so many great creatives! I was selected amongst hundreds of applications to take part in Depop’s BHM Campaign. I was able to show my own fashion and styled myself for this campaign.

  Queen by [ K S R ] - feat. REMII had the pleasure of styling Manchester based artist , [ K S R ] earlier this year for his new music video Queen. I got to work alongside the amazing Nicole Lloyd! I also had the honour of styling his younger sister's who featured in the video. It was an amazing experience and I am looking forward to working with him and Director Maya Mothi again in the future!
