  • Position Summary Womenswear Designer working closely with Sales and buyers to design directional soft separates for the high street and online retailers. Experience in translating the key catwalk influences and fashion trends to create the latest, commercial ‘must have’ styles. Main Responsibilities • Design of soft separates that reflect the latest catwalk influences and fashion trends for buyer’s requirements. • Design for a showroom range ensuring innovate styling to reflect the major fashion trends. • Creating detailed commercial artwork including embroideries and embelsihments. • Trend research including catwalk trends/trend predictions/shop reports. • Sourcing and development of fabric and trims working with suppliers. • Creation of trend/design packs. • Liaising with the development team in the Indian office. • Monitoring samples, liaising with the Indian office to ensure critical path dates are achieved. • Attending fit meetings to achieve correct fit. • Understanding of garment construction. • Creative and commercial with excellent knowledge of woven fabrics.
