  • Arco Barco
Arco BarcoIn 2015 I built and launched Arco Barco, a successful commercial recording studio and creative coworking space which, continues to serve the media, music and design industries with the highest standards in service & product. The studio boasts industry leading facilities and has become a central hub for designers, musicians and producers who are relocating from London to the Kent coast.
  • Walk With Me
Walk With MeWalk With Me uses the act of listening, walking and exploration to highlight what locality means to the individuals within it… …the work is an interactive archive of Geocached Oral History Excursions, which, have been ‘virtually’ placed within the physical world. Listeners must seek and find these excursions and embark on an array of personal journeys. On the Walk With Me phone app, a map with numerous pins indicates the start point of an excursion. • Transient Rhythms
Transient RhythmsAs you look over the panoramic of beaches and chalky cliffs on the east Kent coast, it’s impossible to ignore the silent white giants on the horizon. Working extensively with local migrant communities, the culmination of the work was presented as a 'sound experience' at various cultural venues, such as, galleries, theatres and public spaces in a
  • The Cervia
The CerviaFor decades the Cervia steam tug has been a permanent and prominent feature of Ramsgate Harbour, captivating visitors with her rich history and unique mechanical features. As a working vessel, Cervia has sailed the world and has risen to fame for being the very last commercially operated steam tug. Since her decommission the vessel has remained at Ramsgate Harbour in an un-seaworthy condition, despite the incredible efforts of her restoration volunteers. In 2011, Filipe decided to embark on a j
  • The Whispering Forest
The Whispering ForestOriginally commissioned by Crick Crack Club at the OXO Tower, London, and later by People United at the Copse Woodland in Ramsgate, the Whispering Forest is a sonic experience entirely built on live interaction - visitors whisper, talk or sing in to trees. The trees listen and capture these sounds, dispersing them randomly into a vast woodland/forest, adding the words/sounds to an ever evolving soundscape solely built by its visitors.
