I'm a statistician with experience working in both a fast growing tech startup in Edinburgh, and more recently in health inequalities at the University of Glasgow. I'm really interested in using statistics to help businesses grow and understand how they work and and their customers. I'm a great communicator and would love the opportunity to work with those with technical and non-technical backgrounds.

I am responsible for two in-depth research projects- one answering a question about the validity of a linked data set, and another investigating Minimum Unit Pricing in Scotland. These both involve reviewing relevant literature, generating an analysis plan, conducting the analysis and writing up the results for publication. In addition to this, I am a co-convener of the Research Skills seminar series within the Unit.

At FreeAgent I worked with staff from all areas of the business to apply statistical methods to solve key business problems. This included both technical teams, such as the executive board and engineering, as well as non-technical teams, such as the marketing and sales departments. I was in charge of my own workload which at any one time involved several projects, often working to tight deadlines, alongside daily “business as usual” tasks.
