A recent fashion business graduate with a first class honours degree from Glasgow Caledonian University. I believe to possess a personally ambitious and achievement focused attitude and I am keen to develop my gained educational knowledge from university within the workplace. I am looking to secure a position with a highly reputable company which allows myself to progress and begin a career within the fashion industry in which my passion lies. Due to the mixed element of my own personal degree of BA (Hons) Fashion Business I feel I have a lot to offer and I can visually interpret information as well as analysing against marketing and business theory. In terms of studying this degree I have a wide knowledge in business (marketing, finance, economic, public relations and human relations) and also fashion (design, production, manufacture, pricing and promotion). I am also able to juggle and prioritise work to meet specific deadlines. During my university studies I was able to transition between business and fashion subjects to meet deadlines with relative ease. To achieve this I set organised timescales within my personal planner and from this prioritised my own activities. During my final year I was also able to work two positions whilst studying and composing a dissertation thesis, showing my strong work ethic and commitment to any activity in which I am involved.
- Graduated with a first class specification in BA (Hons) International Fashion Business - Produced dissertation thesis titled "Within Postmodern Society are there differences and/or similarities within male and female vintage clothing consumers?". This thesis studied the subjects of pre-modernism, modernism and postmodernism, millennial consumerism and general gender based consumption studies. Modules studied include: - Range Design for Industry, - French Language, - Retail Brand Strategy, - Marketing Plan Strategy, - New Venture Creation, - Finance and Economics, - CAD (Computer Aided Design), My prior design activities during my studies included working to a set client brief by Renfrewshire Council in association with the town's 2021 city of culture bid to develop a brand and ten piece clothing collection based around regeneration of the paisley pattern (honours year).
