Work history

Lionsgate Films UK

Aug 2017 - Sep 2017
  • London, United Kingdom
  • Internship
  • I was a runner/intern at Lionsgate for the duration of one week. Although not a long internship, the time at this company was invaluable and I learnt a lot about the film industry, pre and post-production. For this role, I did not only run about like a headless chicken distributing post. I was also able to read through reviews and proofs of scripts, helping and growing my writing and editorial eye.

Marketing and Publicity Intern

Bloomsbury Publishing PLC

May 2017 - Jun 2017
  • London, United Kingdom
  • Internship
  • I was the Marketing and Publicity intern at Bloomsbury publishing for the timeframe of one month. This greatly enhanced my knowledge of the publishing world as I was able to communicate with all departments, and see how the publishing world ticks in the bigger companies. I sent out hundreds of press releases and proofs, as well as helping to organise a book launch which was an amazing experience, allowing me to see all the processes of the birth of a book.

Apr 2017 - Apr 2017
  • London, United Kingdom
  • Internship
  • Sweet and Maxwell, a legal publishing branch of Thomson Reuters, really helped sharpen my editorial skills. For this role, I copy-edited many legal books, making sure authors had made the improvements their editors had suggested. This is an important part of the editorial processes, and has really helped improve my editorial skill. Furthermore, I was also able to copy-edit an entire academic book, a job rarely giving to interns.

Sep 2016 - Jun 2018
  • London, United Kingdom
  • From production to digital, all stones of the publishing industry were uncovered, and every module completed has lead the way to a varied knowledge of publishing, both book and magazine.

BA (hons) Archaeology
