About me
I recently completed an MBA in International Marketing at the University of Coventry, with a predicted final grade of either a Distinction or a Merit. I also have a BA in International Economy and Trade and a BM in Business and Management. I am now looking to build on my existing practical experience and academic background by applying my skills to a marketing role in London. In my recent internship at Centaline Property, a major Chinese/Hong Kong property company, I was responsible for the preparation of detailed market research, which included financial data analysis. My responsibilities also included the drawing up presentations which were delivered to internal teams, as well as to clients. The role required a high level of numerical and organisational competence, and a meticulous attention to detail was crucial. My familiarity with social media was also extremely useful, as I used several platforms as a conduit for keeping clients informed of market opportunities, and for following up inquiries. I turned over around five properties a week while working at Centaline; the dedicated client WeChat group that I created played a major part in the achievement of that result. I am very comfortable, persuasive and self-confident when dealing with both clients and colleagues at all levels. This enabled me to forge strong client relationships which were instrumental in translating expressions of interest into sales. At university in china, I created and ran an Instagram account as part of a team project, the aim of which was to drive international recruitment. As team leader, I assigned students different roles according to their respective strengths and oversaw the project’s overall operation. The end-result was very successful: We acquired over 1,000 followers and received more than 100 e-mail and telephone enquiries from prospective students as a direct result of our digital marketing strategy. I also came up with a range of online and offline promotional activities, which were implemented by my team, and partnered with one of China’s leading agencies specialising in assisting overseas students in navigating the Chinese higher education market. As a result of my bi-lingual upbringing and fluency in three languages, I feel at ease when interacting with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. I am able to understand and, when necessary, adapt to customers’ needs.
