Born in Caracas, Venezuela and I am based in Europe.
I am a mother, a dreamer, a believer and a wild woman.
My native language is Spanish, but I also speak English, Italian and I’m learning Portuguese at the moment.
I’ve been devoted to arts since I was a child, I remember myself painting for hours in my bedroom, at the age of 5 my first camera was a polaroid and was a gift from my father (who loves photography too), I still remember the amazing feeling I got from seeing the magic that that camera use to do …
Now I am a professional dedicated to creating images in different ways, starting from artistic photography, creating videos and visuals, I keep on designing graphic pieces for prints and online services and creating websites based on self-maintenance platforms such as WordPress and yes! also painting.
I went to the University to study Graphic Design, and started to work as an independent designer around 1997 till now. In the University I started to study photography too, and then did several courses in different entities in Caracas.
While trying to start a career as a photographer back in 2002 I took a wonderful detour for several years and fell in love with the art of editing videos and animating graphics for Tv advertisements,programs, short films and and many other types of audiovisual materials, I had a quick affair with the production field in the TV ads department and also directed a couple of them.
But, a few years after I took my path back to launching my career as an independent photographer and in July 2006 Franca Franchi Photography as born up till today.
I’ve been dedicated to Portraiture, and found my most fertile ground on Weddings, becoming a Fine Art Wedding Photographer since then till now, my style is fresh, no posed, artistic and very much connected to the emotions. Applying this same point of view I am also specialized in elopements, maternity, family, new born and all kind of portraits.
As an artist I love to explore different subjects and emotions too, life is my main inspiration, and love my religion. I have had solo shows in Caracas showing my artwork as an artistic and conceptual photographer, and my work has been reviewed inside and outside my country by the press online and printed versions.
Since January, 2016 I am based in Lisboa, Portugal, while here I’m dedicated to explore my painting and to create new projects in photography.
Parallel to it I am as always still creating graphics and websites.
And yes I am available for commercial photography assignments, or graphic design commissions inside Europe too…
