Multi-instrumentalist, award-winning composer, and music technologist.
Originally (and still) a guitarist, I discovered the Oud during my travels as a peace activist in the Middle-East a couple of decades ago. Since then I have been studying Arabic, Ottoman, Persian and Afghan music on the Oud and other plucked instruments of the region (Setar, Tar, Rubab, Tambur).
In parallel I enjoy composing, arranging and producing music for various projects and ensembles.

- Iraqi Music ... Of Land & PeopleWhile over the centuries civilizations flourished and died in a long succession along the banks of Tigris and Euphrates, music never lost its important function in the day to day life of Iraqi people. An age - old heritage of great variety has been accumulated and preserved in the form of folk and religious music. Almost every region along the two rivers kept its own style of country music. Samplings of the richness of Iraqi music are introduced by : Salim: Vocalist Francesco Iannuzzelli: Oud
