About me
Whilst studying BA (Hons) Media & Cultural Studies at London College of Communication (2010-2013), I have achieved various experience within Media, from my degree and through a variety of internships. I found a firm interest in Social Media and Events, which led me to aspire to work in Public Relations focusing on the Music Industry.
The various intern roles that I've obtained have allowed me to become more confident in the workplace, learn the concept of social media and communication within different brands, write press releases, selling in campaigns for a range of brands and festivals across Trade, Regional and Online Press. Whilst working and learning in the office environment, I have also been given the opportunity to work on site at various events, from music festivals to museum spaces.
Working onsite at events has given me the understanding in seeing how an initial idea on paper can be adapted to a live music festival or a corporate event, through the practice of PR.
My aim is to create a substantial career in Music PR and use what I've learnt over the years of my study of Media and my internships to achieve this.
Work history
Digital Marketing & PR InternPurple PR

Initially a 3-month internship within Digital Marketing, this was extended to 6 months where I also assisted in Print & Online PR.
- Single-handedly managing Purple PR Music’s social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google +, Tumblr and the company website.) Publishing up to date coverage and news, aswell as collecting coverage from Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle departments.
- Also provided general office assistance for the Music Department, collecting press coverage, mail outs, maintaining the database, creating press packs and updating daily & weekly reports for several clients.
- Worked for various clients including: Sam Smith, Jessie J, Beyonce, Calvin Harris, Hurts, Bjork and more.

Collated coverage reports, created accreditation sheets, writing up press releases, pitching interviews for our clients in regional press. Also handled reception and office administration.
Working for various clients including: Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park, Eliza Doolittle, The Libertines, Blue, Damage, Suzi Perry and Naomi Campbell.
