A dynamic conscientious individual with a varied skill set, a talented and innovative graphic designer by trade and education with over 5 years of experience. I have been exposed to the management structure and process of creating entire print media magazines in one of the largest publication houses in the world, Conde Nast, a name synonymous with excellent quality and highly talented individuals carrying out their award winning work. My forte lies in editorial design, corporate identity, brand identity, typography, web design, illustrations, fashion and print design.
Apart from designing & conceptualising the cover & the editorial pages, I was also given the responsibility of designing Ads & Promotion pages, handling the Production aspect and making the files print ready. The great part about the role is that I get to work across a variety of magazines in the sectors of Health, Interiors & Home Decor, Hospitality, Arts & Lifestyle, Sports & Travel.
Conceptualised the entire magazine from start to finish, and also in charge of making it print-ready. The magazine gave me a variety of work to add to my Portfolio with editorial pages varying from Arts to Fashion, Lifestyle to Interiors & Travel.
Being a part of the Promotions & Marketing team gave me exposure to various mediums of design as well as a hearty assortment of brands across a versatile menu of topics. From fashion brands to luxury labels, men’s fashion and accessories to travel and lifestyle brands. The most rewarding part about the role was that I got the opportunity to work across 4 magazines i.e Vogue, GQ, Condé Nast Traveller & Architectural Digest, which are diverse in terms of design, style & content. My primary responsibilities included conceptualising and designing Promotion pages across the above-mentioned magazines. I also designed the in-house Marketing/Event pages, presentation templates, emailers & all other collaterals of each magazine like The Vogue Wedding Show, GQ Men of the Year, Vogue Fashion‘s Night Out, Vogue Beauty Awards, Readers’ Traveller Awards & AD Insight to name a few.
Working within the graphic design team of this privately owned niche company gave me a valuable insight into the day to day running of the graphic design field and also began to develop me into a competent designer. My duties included designing Invitations, standees, logo design, corporate branding, gift certificates, stage design, concept design, event design and all other forms of print design and conceptualisation that is required for events and branding.
My duties included being given the responsibility to design the briefs for the companies’ new corporate identity manual and also their client media, which they distribute to clients and prospective ones. This also included creating print media presentations and demonstrating my creative skills by implementing a new logo design for their manual.
