  • I am currently working in two very different but exciting roles that together allow me to gain experience in two departments that I am equally as passionate about at Motorpoint Arena Cardiff, Office Manager ----------------------------- The Role is office based and allows me to work on the early stages of putting an event together. This is something I have always enjoyed and love knowing I played a small part in getting such a large event together. Role Includes; * Liaising with some of the largest companies in the event business. * Liaising with tour promoters to arrange tour dates for the venue. * Using Artifax to control the venue diary. * Creating show contracts and ensuring they are signed and appropriately filed. * Ordering the venue stationary and ensuring the smooth running of the Live Nation Office * Checking availability for promoters and trying to ensure we meet their date requests. * Taking on secretary work for the Venue General and Deputy General managers. * Taking their calls and arranging meeting etc to ensure they stay up to date with tasks. Front Of House ---------------------- * Meeting with tour productions and ensuring their front of house needs are met * Assisting VIP tour reps in VIP packages ensuring the process runs smoothly. * Creating hospitality packages and selling them to clients * Ensuring the hospitality suites run smoothly on the evening with happy customers. * Supervising the FOH department on event evenings. * Dealing with complaints and any medical / security issues that can arise. * Booking stewards in for shifts and dealing with any staffing issues. * Managing the stewarding team on event evenings and ensure they are at a high standard * Ensuring FOH health and safety guidelines are met at all times. * Recruiting staff and ensuring that recruitment guidelines are met.



Young Promoters Network Forte Project

  • The Forté Project is an exciting new music development scheme hoping to uncover and support the next bright young things in music emerging from South Wales. It is created and ran by Young Promoters Network in which i have a prominent role, it is also in co-ordination with SONIG Youth Music, Arts Connect and Arts Council of Wales. The Forté Project aims to take ten emerging artists from regions which span across the areas of Rhondda Cynon Taff, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, Bridgend and the Vale of Glamorgan, collectively known as Arts Connect. The ten chosen artists will work alongside assigned industry mentors who will support the artist on their journey at a critical point in their musical career. The project is centred around key creative and career development support areas which will further improve their chances of achieving successful, long-term professional careers. The artists will gain experience from song-writing workshops, industry related seminars, signposted opportunities, rehearsal space, recording sessions, bespoke audience development support and a range of unique live opportunities throughout the year. This is something I continue to work on and a project that i am very passionate about.

Ginger Owl Productions Wireless Festival

  • Role Included; • Relaying information to artists and teams such as safety policies and procedures. • Ensuring all relevant documents were signed by the teams before performance. • Keeping to all confidentiality aspects of the festival. • Keeping to strict timings set by the festival. This is always a great experience which allowed me to further push my skills such as working in a high pressured environment, time management, multi tasking and to gain an insight into artist management.


Disabled Campsite Coordinator

Live Nation Creamfields Festival

  • Role Included; • Managing a small team of festival volunteers • Catering for the varied needs of disabled patrons • Liaising with other festival teams to ensure disabled customers’ needs were continuously met. • Supervising the disabled viewing platform and campsite • Monitoring all disabled facilities across the festival to sure they meet Live Nation Standard • Gaining feedback from disabled patrons to see how Live Nation could improve the service. I really enjoyed the festival experience and working within this role. Being on my feet all day and getting stuck in to all the varied jobs that needed to be done across the site was something I thoroughly enjoyed. I thought the atmosphere of the festival was great and loved being in a customer based role seeing how I could heighten the disabled festival-goers experience at the festival.
