About me
My name is Aina Eguiluz (aka Gaecea Studio). I’m a graphic designer and musician based in Barcelona, Spain. I usually work in projects that can combine graphic design with music, although I also work them individually. What I love about these two professions is not only how they work separately but also, and most importantly, how they weave together to create multidisciplinary projects. Although these are the main start points for my work, also analogue photography takes part in it. I usually use the images I capture in LP/EP designs, creating new spaces and concepts from an iconographic point of view through photography.

‘Cerrajero Meets Paki’ consists of an appropriation of two of the elements that currently have most presence in the streets of Barcelona and that are invisible at a design level: the propaganda sticker of locksmith shops and the 24h supermarkets, as known in Barcelona as pakis. This appropriation is carried out graphically, adopting the typographies, colors and formats of the locksmith adhesives, and at a product level, where the designed packagings consist of some of the items you can find in a paki. The aim of this project is to consider that these two elements are part of the design area, and to generate a sense of identity of the streets of Barcelona and what currently defines them in a small way.
