  • Head of Menswear overseeing the development of Denim, Jersey and Knitwear for our men’s client base, working with and directing a team of 7 staff members. Specialising personally in denim wear and proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop (Mac) and Microsoft office applications. Tasks & Responsibilities Include: • Research and development of trends for future collections • Assessing high street competitors and current market conditions. • Liaising with Clients to deliver viable and commercial products to high street regulations • Liaising with vendors and factories in China, Bangladesh & Pakistan • Developing and approving new fabrics and washing techniques. • Working with the Designers & Merchandisers to creating tech packs for the factories • Over see the merchandising of product so that goods fall within the parameters set by the client • Develop trims and metalwear products from several sources to required standards • Manage costing and pricing structure to make sure product is viable for sale • Motivate and manage staff to maximse their work output and productivity. • Over seas travel to Far East and Europe to assess production and manufacture processes • Responsible for all internal Point of sale / Web development & PR. Whilst in employment with Duty Free I was tasked with launching a new urban street wear brand “Damaged” which focused on high quality denim and styling with key focused priced points named I was responsible for the concept and development of this brand and oversaw all marketing and P.R. Working closely with the Sales team and our retailers we secured the brand space in over 400 retailers with in the first year of launch. We achieved a turnover of around £1,200,000 in the second year. Corporate customers Included: Bank Fashions, Foot Asylum, Ringspun, Officers Club, Republic Retail, USC, Envy Retail, French Connection, Joe Browns, Original Penguin, Farah, Mineral, DV8 & Own label – Damaged Jeans

  • The role included the design and development of six seasonal collections for the Mish Mash brand including pattern development and washing techniques. All initial samples were made in house at our UK hub by the small design team. I have a good knowledge of garment construction, fabric and wash on denim wear products. I was also responsible for the promotion and P.R. for the brand including overseeing photo shoots and press coverage in national men’s publications such as MWB, Drapers Record, FHM, Loaded & Nuts
