About me
Geej Ower is a master of subtlety, inspiring intimate and human performances from actors and non actors alike. Having cut her teeth in theatre, she thrives exploring the emotional storytelling space, finding dramatic ways to connect with her audience. In a recent project for the BBC, Frankenstein: How to Make a Monster, six young performers interpret Mary Shelley’s novel Frankenstein from their own perspective growing up in 21st-century Britain. In a lockdown project, Abusers Always Work from Home for NCDV, Geej remotely directed the searingly apt experience of a family caught in the horror of domestic abuse. Geej’s talent lies in exposing the magic of everyday life through a considered and honest exploration of family and memory, while also possessing the ability to move into more serious social issues.
