Since September 2013 until the present, I have worked as an exclusive casual costume dresser for the Olivier Stage at the National Theatre. I have worked on a variety of shows there and have been responsible for costumes of principle actors, actresses and children. My main duties there are: liaising with designer, maintenance of costumes, quick changes, alterations and laundry.
Responsible for: four principle actors costumes, maintenance of costumes throughout entire run, managing quick changes backstage, applying prosthetic make-up to actors and costumes, alterations and laundry.
Responsible for: entire female cast’s costumes, liaising with designer, quick changes backstage, distributing props and accessories during quick changes, maintenance of costumes, alterations, painting and dying new costumes, buying new costumes and accessories, alterations and laundry.
Responsible for: entire shop floor and window displays, liaising with the Visual Merchandising Manager and Deputy Store Manager, demonstrating knowledge of current fashion trends, dressing mannequins, keeping visual graphics up-to-date, composing creative displays, assembling metal bar work, studying local competition, organising and tidying the equipment rooms.
