Managing operations for a busy neighbourhood restaurant and catering company as well as working as personal assistant to chef/patron. Extremely varied, fast-paced and often stressful role, managing both the chef/patron and all staff, processing payroll and HR func- tions, managing all internal and external bookings as well as executing organisational as- pects of all in house and outside event catering jobs.
Responsibilities include :
• Acting as main point of contact for all suppliers as well as landlords, solicitors, accoun-
tants and Hackney Council
• Managing chef/patron, including out of hours activities
• Managing all restaurant bookings, event bookings and external catering jobs
• Assisting bookkeeping and reconciling all supplier invoices and miscellaneous expenses
with external bookkeeper and accountants, as well as managing chef/patron and all staff
expenses
• Managing staff payroll and all HR functions
• Ensuring that day to day management of the restaurant runs smoothly and effectively
• Managing all accounts functions including paying suppliers, invoicing clients and paying
tax and PAYE
• Acting as gatekeeper to chef/patron and all restaurant staff.
