- Design a Language boxThe brief was to do intense research into a language I chose Icelandic due to their folk lore and incredible views. We then had to design packaging for someone who wanted to learn this language, everything had to have the same style, look, typography and match the language you were showing. I filled 2 sketchbooks on this country, its history, the people, its art, clothing, design and decided to show as much of the landscapes as I could but I made them look mystical. - Redesign a famous Book coverI was given a brief to write my own brief and I have always wanted to design book covers I went to the library and found I walked past the this book at least 3 times.. it wasn't eye catching or colourful so I picked it up and I read Dracula and I found that the whole book was written in forms of diaries, letters and paper clippings, it also wasn't a horror not by todays standards anyway. - Doodle for GoogleIn my first year we were asked to look at decades 1920s, 40s, 60s, 80s, I chose 1940's and 1980's I then researched a lot into them and found that disney created the masterpiece that is Fantasia so I used this and created a disney inspired doodle for google. My 2nd piece is 1980's which was when the simpsons was created so I redesigned the google logo to look like characters from the simpsons this project was the first time I had used the pen tool so i was really proud of the outcome.
