Genesis is an aspiring mixed media artist, photographer and art director with the hopes of working for the likes of National Geographic, Vogue, Harpers Bazaar and other widely respected brands. Her mother is a psychotherapist, so she has had an understanding of mental health and wants to highlight these issues specifically for people of colour and help remove the stigma that many ethnic communities have. In 2016, Genesis started travelling. She has been to the French Alps, Scotland, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Japan, Germany and Italy three times. She has documented her time there through, photography and hand sketches. This helped ignite her passion of photojournalism and she has a goal of visiting every country in the world. Genesis has always believed she was a creative and after college, she went to study a degree in Architecture. This gave her training in graphic design, photography, film making, model making and digital illustration. Within the next year, Genesis hopes to be doing different types of art - full time - to shine a light of stories, from disadvantaged (or commonly misunderstood) communities; and long term, make a massive impact on their general perception.
