About me
I have a strong interest in television, film, and theatre production and the work that goes on behind the curtains as well as what happens on the stage too. Through my degree, I have been able to develop my interest and increase my knowledge in the subject field. I achieved an average of 60% in my examinations over the past two years and graduated with a 2:1. Whilst at University, I was able to utilise my skills, particularly in the last semester when creating my solo performance and completing my dissertation. In the first semester of this academic year I had been working on employability skills including arts administration, project planning, research methods, and time management skills. Whilst studying I had taken advantage of living in London and I have gained some experience whilst working on the set for Sky 1’s ‘Got To Dance’ back in 2013. I worked in a pub/restaurant in Hampshire until the end of July 2015 as I am looking to move back to London as soon as possible. This job required me to use skills for great customer service, providing them with clear information on products. In my spare time I enjoy sketching portraits which I hope to sell on my website soon. I first became interested in theatre and the performing arts sector after a trip to the West End in London. There I saw an adaptation of Shakespeare’s ‘Much Ado About Nothing’. As well as being fascinated by the actors on stage, I thought about the work that was required backstage and in the months leading up to the opening night which I believe is extremely important and also a thrilling role. This led to my passion for the Theatre and Arts sector and so I then went on to study Theatre Studies at the University of East London.

Media Studies, Philosophy and Ethics, and Textiles
     -
In Media Studies I produced a film trailer which I also starred in, the DVD cover shoot and magazine article with corresponding photo shoot plus posters and storyboards for the NSPCC. I think it’s important to experience things first hand so whilst studying audiences, I was fortunate enough to be in Top Gear’s audience. This experience gave me an insight into the television industry, behind the scenes filled with adrenaline pumping, blood rushing mayhem and also made me realise that what goes on behind the camera is just as important and as interesting as to what is happening on stage. A level Textiles was another creative subject for me. Costume is a key factor for the mise-en-scene and this subject allowed me to understand the fashion that influences the costumes on stage.
