Director’s Assistant

Feb 2015 - Mar 2015
  • Two month placement where I was Mark Denton’s personal assistant. He is the creative director and founder of Coy! Communications. I was given the responsibility of arranging castings, studio bookings, art department and catering, and took on the role of production manager during photographic shoots. Alongside this, I also assisted with admin such as diary and office management. My time with Mark was an invaluable experience that enabled me to feel clearer about where I want to focus as a career, which is most definitely working with an advertising agency.

  • Three months placement for creative advertising agency Brooklyn Brothers working within the PR department. I was helping with a project involving Jaguar Land Rover, of which I have been learning different PR strategies and planning techniques to ensure it becomes a successful campaign. I completed this experience part-time alongside my degree, travelling to London each week in between lectures.

Sep 2010 - Mar 2011
  • Completed a six-month role as a communications assistant at Alliance Boots. Specifically, I helped prepare and present internal corporate events which involved liaising with all executive level staff and directors, travelling throughout the UK and occasionally continental Europe. My main focus during this experience was the Alliance Boots Convention, held in Monaco. The event summoned over one thousand delegates to gather together and perform presentations and reports regarding the company’s progress.
