About me

Giulia Scarantino is a Sound Artist engaging with new experimental approaches of sound within the performance art practices, music productions, art gallery installations and sound design for moving images. She holds a bachelor's degree in Sound Design achieved at Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome and a MA in Sound Arts gained at London College of Communication. In 2012 she's been invited to present her sound art installation "Self-portrait of the artist as a young woman" at the PNMN Sound Arts Festival in Uden, Netherlands. She is a multi-instrumentalist singer songwriter and sound engineer - she released her first solo album self titles D'Addio entirely produced and mixed herself.

The shots were taken just a few miles from Latina, my town in Italy, where there's a nuclear power station still escapes radioactive slag in the area.
