- Trading Import/Export: use commodities codes; manage the inventory and record of commodities; deal and negotiate with suppliers and distributors; deal with clients face-to-face, by telephone or e-mail; support on specific projects (e.g. market analysis, current distributor network analysis). - BD: Identify sales leads, select and target sectors of key companies, follow up any UK and international expansion opportunities; implement goods and services to new clients and maintain a good working relationship with new contacts; establish the brand presence; follow up new business opportunities; communicate new product developments to clients; visit clients and attend networking events; plan and prepare presentations, write reports and provide management feedback. - Accounting tasks: process and control the company's general expenses; produce invoices for customers; manage staff expenses; pay supplier invoices; bank reconciliations; manage petty cash; importing VAT; maintain database updates & e-administration; manage facilities & general office duties. - PA: organise board meeting/video-conferences; organise travels (visas, transfers, fights, hotels); organise and maintain diaries and make appointments; organise and attend meetings.
- HR administrative tasks: prepare staff contracts, follow up HR policies and forms; update and review company procedures and guidelines in preventing illegal immigration and employment; support employee queries; manage Health & Safety and advice for employee issues and concerns; menage medical examinations; supervise safety trainings; - Recruitment: identify company needs, write job descriptions, follow inductions and leavers; - Payroll duties: record sickness absences, total hours worked, other deductions, payments or benefits; - Training: identify educational & learning needs, monitor issues; - Disciplinary: execute corrective actions in line with behavioural guidelines; deal with complaints & grievances: conflict resolutions and mediations; - PA: support union-business relationships, support staff appraisal (performance, compensation & benefit); support on establishing and analysing the HR budget and HR reports; agenda management (diary of the HR manager; manage email communications; organise internal and external meetings, lunches, dinners & travels; deal with client/ trust requests).
