Director of the Art and Design team in one of the most prestigious agencies in my country, CORPORACION/JWT, member of JWT Worldwide. I lead a team of 5 graphic designers and periodically I supervise a second graphic design team from Argentina. I directly report to the two Creative Directors of the agency. My principal responsibilities are: co-work with the copywriters and lead the team into the develop of creative concepts and executions of advertising campaigns for major brands in Uruguay, and also for brands in Paraguay and Argentina. TV spots, outdoor advertising, press, digital and mobile are the main media supports we use. Pepsi, Unilever, Nestle?, Inbev and Teleton Foundation are just some of the companies and organizations we work with. My usual activities involve meeting clients and interpreting the their business needs; developing design briefs; thinking creati- vely to produce new ideas and concepts and presenting finalised ideas and concepts to clients or account managers. Working in one of the most prestigious agencies of my country has been a demanding task. I was hired as Senior Graphic Designer in the advertising agency Ame?n, on of the major independent advertising agencies of Uruguay. My main responsibilities were to work with the design team and the copywriters into the develop of creative concepts and executions of advertising campaigns for the agency clients. I developed integrated advertising campaigns as well as particular design work for specific media channels: TV spots, outdoor advertising, ambient, press mobile and digital. The major retail store of Uruguay, one of the most impor- tant TV cable companies, LAN-TAM Airlines, Miller Genuine Draft Beer and the major rice production company of the country were our most important clients.
La Despensa is the major independent advertising agency of Spain. They have been one of the most outstanding independent agency of Europe for the past five years. In their aim to explore new countries and cultures, they opened an office in Me?xico DF, where I was hired to be part of the team. For one year, I had the opportunity to live the experience of set up a new advertising agency in Distrito Federal, one of the largest city in the Americas, and the world; looking for new clients and developing the first advertising campaigns of the agency for companies like L ?OREAL, 7up, DIESEL and the most important sport retail store from Me?xico Tiendas Marti?.
I was hired as graphic designer trainee in Publicis-Impetu, one of the most important adverti- sing agencies of Uruguay and member of the Publicis Groupe. Present in 108 countries and employing 62,000 professionals, Publicis Groupe is the third largest communications group in the world. It was my first job as a professional graphic designer in an advertising agency. I worked for clients like Netle?, Movistar (telecomunicacion company), and L ?OREAL developing graphic materials and campaigns according to the client needs.
