Creative Consultant and Personal Assistant
Part-time sales associate working in women's luxury, women's contemporary, shoes (men and women) and homeware.
For the past 2 years I have I found myself working for a freelance artist by the name of Malgosia Stepnik, through her company Malgosia Stepnik Studio. Malgosia is an established artist who has exhibited her art in London and internationally for the past 10 years. In addition to this she has developed an interior lifestyle range and has her own fashion accessory label. My role within her company was extremely varied. I began as her personal assistant (which I am proficiently skilled at) and soon became a full time consultant and sales manager. This was in relation to both her artworks and her retail lifestyle range. Below, in brief, are some of my achievements and roles within the company: - Contributed to the initial design process of women’s accessories and homewares - Researched and arranged manufacturing and other necessities such as packaging etc. - Handled the initial PR, media and marketing which resulted in stockists such as Harrods and media coverage in Elle magazine and The Financial Times online. - Operated and managed the “Artist in Residence” display room and boutique - showcasing artworks and base of sales for the lifestyle and fashion lines. - Successfully met company targets and sales goals. - Elicited sales of fine art, values of which ranged from £5,000 - £60,000. - Managed all administrative aspects of the company and liaised with company accountants, graphic designers etc. - Organised international travel (Europe, USA and India) and provided opportunities in these countries for company expansion. - Held various forms of social events for the company such as exhibitions, openings, exclusive sales etc.
My work with General Eyewear has been sporadic (as my other employment was extremely demanding) but beneficial. I have a fondness for eyewear design so I always liked keeping my position with them. During my time there my duties included sales, customer service and other general retail responsibilities. In addition to this, I acted as a style consultant for both individuals and projects the company was commissioned for (films, runway etc.).
Within these degrees the subjects I majored in were Art History, Anthropology, Sociology and Drama.
I graduated St. Hilda's School as dux of Ancient History, English B and Drama. I also received awards for Best Costume Design for Inter-house plays and the school musical. My co-curriculum activity was piano which I studied for 10 years.
