My name is Grace Williams, an Illustrator and mixed media artist currently living in Brighton (although open to relocation). I have recently graduated from my Master's degree, Art's and Design by Independent project at University of Brighton. I specialise in hand drawn and digital illustration, and over the last year 3D installation. I have a profound interest in design, particularly editorial and installation. I am currently working working as a freelance illustrator, my most recent project creating a bespoke wallpaper design for a client's home.
Projects
- Landscape of CuriositySelf led project 'Landscape of Curiosity', which aimed to probe into the persuasive effects of drawing and blur the boundaries between fantasy and reality. It challenged the definition of a 'drawing' and celebrated drawing as a means of explanation, information and authentication. The main part of this project was a hand built 3-Dimensional ‘plantscape’ (56.6cm wide, 156cm long and 18.5 high) displayed in a glass vitrine. - Dirty FriesI helped to design and execute the initial branding of independent online jewellery store Dirty Fries, also stocked in ThatThing store in Bristol, in 2017. I produced 3 main illustrations along with a small amount of typography which were used on the product packaging, social media and promo material.
- Portraits by GraceI run a small business creating and selling portraits of pets and people (Portraits by Grace), using a mixture of hand drawing and digital illustration.
