I am a writer, editor, content strategist and team leader with over 20 years' experience producing multimedia content for a wide range of consumer and business audiences. My specialism is branded content - I've spent the last 10 years working in that field for publishers including the Guardian and Condé Nast. I love working collaboratively to creative innovative digital work that wins awards and makes a difference in the world.

Projects
- National Geographic Traveller - Oman promotional videoWe worked with National Geographic Traveller to create this piece of branded content for the Omani tourist board. We had to showcase the diversity of the country, and help promote it as a culturally rich holiday destination. I was responsible for the narrative structure of the film, working closely with the editor.
- NBC Universal - Woody Woodpecker documentaryI was resonsible for the narrative development of this 13min YouTube film, designed to promote some new episodes of Woody Woodpecker. I identified and researched the interviewees, wrote the questions, ensured the director got the material we needed, then worked with the producer and editor to tell the story of Universal Studios' iconic cartoon character.
- The Independent: subscription offer launchWe created this film for the launch of the Independent's new subscription offer. I worked with the client to identify the best interviewees, drafted the questions and worked alongside the director on the shoots. I then structured the narrative for the final edit. We shot the film in and around London over several days using multiple cameras and a range of techniques including an Eye-Direct rig.
- The Guardian/Unilever - Live Better ChallengeBetween March and October 2014, the Guardian challenged its audiences to live better - by saving water, throwing away less food, recycling more, using less gas and electricity and much, much more. This branded content campaign, sponsored by Unilever, was the place to swap ideas, try new things, and chat about the way we live our lives. My responsibility is to create memorable video content that audiences will want to share and that achieves our commercial partners' objectives. I oversee all content created by the studio from both a narrative and strategic point of view, ensuring the team takes an editorial approach to branded video campaigns.
I am tasked with injecting fresh ideas into our pitches as well as the final films, ensuring the end product continues to push creative boundaries.
Once a project is sold, I supervise the film’s story arc all the way through to completion and also advise clients on distribution or partnership options for maximum audience exposure. I also get 'hands on' by writing treatments and scripts.
I work closely with the founder to help deliver key commercial objectives for the business.

Cedar is a full-service content marketing agency, with a 173-strong team of editors, designers, strategists and media sales experts based in London, Hong Kong and Cape Town. It is part of the BBDO/Omnicom Group. Clients include British Airways, Nikon, P&O and Tesco.
I am covering a maternity leave (initial six-month contract runs until June 2018).
Responsibilities include:
- The overall content strategy on the Tesco account
- Channel planning on large-scale projects across print, digital and social
- The strategy for channel development, including the Tesco Real Food website and YouTube and social channels
- Thought leadership across the account, challenging members of the team to provide innovative solutions to key business issues
