About me
My name is Greg, and I’m a Graphic Designer, Creative Consultant, D&I Consultant, public speaker, and host of the Design For The People podcast. I design and consult on communications that enable organisations, communities and causes to connect with their audience. I create brand identities, strategies, content and marketing communications across print & digital. As a former studio Head of Creative, I produced award-winning work for a marketing agency before going freelance. Since then I have successfully delivered thousands of branding, print and digital design projects for clients across the globe (many in music and film). I approach Communication Design strategically, so I’m always focused on creating work that meets my client’s objectives, from raising awareness to increasing donations. From leading an initiative, to building a movement. I’ve produced impactful work for brands and organisations including Sony Music, Ministry of Sound, Rezidor Hotels, Sanyo, Universal Music, Hackney Borough, Samsung, Heart Radio, Portsmouth City Council, Warner Music, Old El Paso, Polydor Records, Capital FM, and many more. I’m forever curious and passionate about what drives culture – the big ideas that bring us together. I apply that curiosity to my work, and how I can help people strategically communicate their values to the world. As a Black British designer, and a proud member of the design community, I use my voice to educate, engage, and share my extensive experience. I also curate and design for the Black Outdoor Art project, an initiative in partnership with outdoor agency Brotherhood Media, that utilises donated billboard space as a platform for other Black British designers.

Decolonise Everything Billboard for Black Outdoor ArtI created this artwork as part of Black History Month in the UK in 2020 and had the opportunity to have it showcased as part of the Black Outdoor Art project, initiated by graphic designer Greg Bunbury and facilitated by media company Brotherhood Media. With this artwork, I wanted to showcase how important it is that we proactively work towards decolonising every aspect of society as part of the fight against racism. Despite colonisation being officially over, the colonialist mindset that still

    Senior Graphic Designer/OwnerBunbury Creative
    London, United KingdomFull Time
Bunbury Creative is a design business that offers agency-level creative through a freelance model. I specialise in design for music, film and sport clients, and my role is both client services and creative. My work is a broad mix of advertising, brand development, print design, digital design, packaging, poster design, illustration, motion graphics & rich media banner production (MediaMind/Flashtalking/Doubleclick). I take the creative lead on all my projects through to artwork and delivery, often managing other freelancers and suppliers as necessary. I also advise clients on creative strategy, brand and business development. I believe a good creative should have a diverse and multi-faceted range of experience, and an adaptable approach to better serve a brief. As such I've worked a wide selection of brands and agencies in this sector, including Warner Music, Universal Music, Sony Music, SYCO, Global Radio (Heart/Capital/Smooth), and Time Out magazine to name a few. I’ve worked on campaigns for artists from P Diddy and Ed Sheeran, to Neil Young and Jimi Hendrix. My digital campaign work include films such as 'Snowden', 'Ratchet & Clank', 'Mr Holmes' and 'Transcendence'. I also produce and manage all the creative collateral for Shoot Music, a sport & music promotional company working with the Football Association, Premier League, NFL UK, Sky Sports, and the BBC. I deliver print, digital, branding, copywriting, Wordpress site build and customisation and video production.

    Head of CreativeMabox (now OneGTM
     - London, United KingdomFull Time
Mabox (now OneGTM) was a b2b/b2c comms marketing agency in London. After joining as a Creative Designer working across branding, print and digital, I later became Head of Creative for the agency. I managed a team of designers, and was responsible for the trafficking of work through the studio. I also managed the agency's efforts to build an extensive creative roster on an internal hub, and liaised with freelancers and suppliers on a daily basis. I designed and art directed brand identities, marketing outreach, channel communications, websites, catalogues, advertising campaigns, brand promotions, digital advertising, and materials for the agency itself. In addition to managing the studio and actively producing creative work, I also designed and led pitches for the agency. During my tenure I contributed to several account wins, and three awards. Key accounts I worked on included the Reed group, Sanyo, Tourism Ireland, Rezidor, The International Hotel Group, UKHO, and Telstra.
