Since relocating to London I've assisted food, interior and portrait photographers such as Benjamin McMahon, Matt Russel, Toby Coulson, Laura Edwards, Dylan Thomas, Alice Whitby, Helen Cathcart, Richard Lewisohn, Guy Montagu-Pollack, Sam Peach and Rebecca Pierce. Clients have included: Vogue China, Telegraph Magazine, Penguin Books, Farfetch, Apollo Magazine, FT Weekend, Jamie Oliver, The London Magazine, Red Magazine and London Fashion Week.
I work on a freelance basis with prominent East London Studio SNAP. Work involves greeting clients and looking after all their requirements, preparing studios, administration tasks, keeping track of inventory, catering for breakfast and lunch, barista, covering reception duties. Clients have included: Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Telegraph Magazine, Guardian, GQ, LOOK, Marie Claire and Elle.
I worked as an assistant at the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea Park, London, for their autumn 2015 fair. The work involved being a friendly face and an ambassador for the event, run the education space for children and help at the printmaking workshops. Besides the customer service roles, fire exits, cloakroom and storeroom had to be managed, and also general maintenance.
I worked as the Gallery assistant for Peter Fetterman Gallery (Santa Monica, California) at the Photo London International Art Fair 2015. It involved working closely with Peter to run the galleries booth effectively. Work included handling prints by artists such as Sebastiao Salgado, Henri Cartier-Bresson and Lillian Bassman as well as liaising between the organisers and the gallery. Furthermore, I helped manage the galleries main showing - Stephen Wilkes. Which involved working in a more client-facing role, guiding potential buyers and looking after their requirements.
Assistant Retoucher and Office Assistant at the retouching company 'The Laundry Room', working along clients such as New Look, Vogue Japan and T-Mobile. My primary role involved support and digital asset management as well as receiving training on Photoshop techniques, working on live jobs under the support and guidance of more senior Retouchers. Other facets of the work included client services and running of the studio as a part of ‘The Shop Studio’.
