I am a Freelance Runner and Production Assistant /Short Film Producer currently available for Film and TV work. I have a keen interest in the production department and organisational side to projects, although I am more than willing to help out within any department that may require assistance. Although I'm currently based in Sheffield, I'm available in any location and am reliable, motivated and available for work at short notice, and keen to find new collaborators.
As a Production Assistant for upcoming action feature film Two Gunned Saint, my responsibilities have varied over the course of production greatly, from assisting the AD and production coordinator on set, to problem solving and providing assistance within the smooth changeover of scenes through looking after actors during long night shoots and ensuring costume and prop changes take place efficiently. More recently, I've taken on more of a production office based role, in attending weekly production meetings and contributing towards research and helping to come up with a clear crowdfunding strategy.
As a Runner/Steward for BBC's Flog it!, my responsibilities varied from assisting the roaming camera team, looking after the crew and contributors selected to go forward for filming, taking care of valuable items and ensuring a public event ran smoothly and schedules were adhered to.
As a Runner for ITV's fast paced, dynamic daytime show Dickinson's Real Deal, my responsibilities included looking after the public and selected contributors who went forward for filming, ensuring release forms were thorough and signed, ensuring health and safety regulations in the building were adhered to, and overall ensuring the event day ran smoothly.
Throughout my degree, I was given the opportunity to discover more about several areas to Film Production, and able to discover my own personal strengths and key areas of interest through making short films, alongside some theory based modules. I discovered an interest in Producing and organising projects, and during my final year, I took on the role of Producer for my final project - 'Behind the Make Up' - which was a short documentary that involved me learning on the job about ethical considerations and working with vulnerable contributors, as well as problem solving and how to distribute a short film. The film has since been nominated for a Royal Television Society student award within the Factual category (RTS Yorkshire 2017), and is currently being submitted to festivals.
